Stellenbosch is the second oldest town in South Africa. It’s situated on the Eerste Rivier (First River). It was established by Simon van der Stel in 1679 and is also known as Eikestad (Town of Oaks), and boasts a mix of historical Georgian and Victorian buildings and modern architecture.
